William Beers

Obituary of William Beers William L. "Bill" Beers was born on July 24, 1955 in Coalport, Pennsylvania. Bill spent his first years of life in Pennsylvania. He attended and graduated from Glendale High School and Altoona Vocational Tech School. After school Bill began his career in the electrical business which developed into, late in life, his ownership of Energy Erectors in Leesburg, Florida. Over the years, Bill built Energy Erectors into a highly successful company and provided employment for many family and friends, however Bill's passion in life was his family and friends and the great outdoors. He is survived by his parents, Raymond and Trudy Beers, his wife, Patricia Armstrong Beers (Petunia), his daughter Billie Joe, son in law, Josh Davis, his son Cody L. Beers and his son Kyle Beers,his stepchildren, Bradley Schaffner and Lynnette Stewart, his sisters, Mary Lu, Evedin and Deb and brother Cloyd. Bill is also survived by eight grandchildren. He spent his leisure time enjoying the wonders of nature throughout the world with his family and friends. Bill was committed throughout his life to helping others and many other community organizations, schools and churches. Bill felt he had been blessed in his life and was committed to sharing his blessings. Bill was a great outdoorsman and lived to share and open the eyes of this experience with all others. Bill was in his element in his mountains of the west. His heart was as big as his mountains and he proved this time and again through his compassion, generosity and sharing of himself and all his worldly goods with his family and friends and many times with complete strangers. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten Wilbur. Bill truly lived God's commandment to love others as God loved him. Services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Leesburg with Reverend Cliff Lea officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Academy or Wild Turkey Federation.
