Obituary of Wayne Tutt Wayne Walter Tutt passed away at home on his farm in Weirsdale, Florida on December 8, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family and special friends. His positive attitude, warm smile and sense of humor will be remembered by those that were fortunate to know him. Wayne spent his life serving others, whether it was his country, community, friends or family members. He was honored to have served in the United States Navy and the Army Reserves. Wayne achieved Petty Officer Second Class and often reminisced about his time in the air with the Hurricane Hunters. His professional career provided him great joy when caring for and helping clients with their insurance needs. This fulfillment was surpassed by his dedication to those in need. Wayne devoted himself to many organizations but the most notable include Silver River Mentoring and Instruction, The Salvation Army, The Shriners, Rotary, Lady Lake Chamber of Commerce and Ocala Business Leaders. He never hesitated to take an active role and leadership responsibilities to ensure these organizations achieved their goals of helping so many. His true love and joy came from time spent with family and friends. He provided endless love and support to his wife and best friend, Janet, for 37 years. His love grew exponentially with the addition of his son, Wayne Russell, daughter-in-law, Annie, and his two granddaughters, Chloe Evelyn and Sydney Eleanor. Wayne was also a special brother to his sister and a favorite uncle for numerous nieces and nephews, whether through blood or friendship. He was a friend to so many, and willing to help everyone no matter the task or effort as he was happiest when sharing with others. He was honored to have special friends who, through to his passing, shared their love unconditionally. Celebration of Life A celebration of Wayne's life will be held Friday, December 16th, 11am at North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, Florida. Inurnment Inurnment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Memorial Donations In lieu of flowers, Wayne requested donations be made to an organization he committed himself to for more than 20 years: the Silver River Mentoring and Instruction (SRMI) school. Gifts will support a positive educational environment for at-risk youth of Marion and Citrus counties. Donations should be mailed to SRMI, 2500 SE 44th Court, Ocala, FL 34471 and reference "in memory of Wayne Tutt".
