Timothy Elmer Comstock

Tim worked for the Department of Corrections for 31 years, at the Sumter Correctional Institution. During this time he received many awards and trophies from the Florida Police Officer’s Association for his excellent shooting skills. He was also members of many specialty squads. He also provided support to the K-9 units. Tim enjoyed his role as loving husband and Dad. He spent countless nights at the ball fields with his boys. He participated in many ways, including coaching Shawn’s baseball teams. He supported Michael’s football team in multiple ways in addition to being their biggest fan. In his retirement, he enjoyed time on their property. He could be found helping to birth a cow, mend a fence, or teaching his grandson Logan how to ride the big tractors. At the end of the day, he could be caught enjoying evenings with his mom, Sandy in their pavilion as well as other family members. Tim had many hobbies throughout his life, which validated his love for water. As a young adult he was a certified SCUBA diver and instructor. In retirement he loved deep sea fishing. Cruises were also an important part of Tim’s life. In 1988, he took his first cruise with Debbie, which began their life together. Since that time, they have enjoyed MANY cruises together all over the world. He also enjoyed his time riding his Harley with his “framily” at the VFW Post 10137, which he was a lifetime member of the Auxiliary. Survived by his wife, Debbie Comstock, Bushnell Fl. His sons, Shawn D. Oliver (Julie), Royse City, TX and Michael E. Comstock (Ruby), Hudson FL. His mother, Sandy Comstock, Bushnell, FL. His only grandson, Logan Oliver, Royse City, TX. His sister-in-law, Tonya Hillman, (Mark), Cantonment, FL. As well as his great uncle Marvin Johnson (Colleen), Dade City, FL; his aunts, Linda Jackson of Auburndale, Florida and Rita Carroll (Donnie) of Cornelia, Georgia; as well as many other family members.
