Ruth L. Storey

Ruth Lynn Kielbasa - Storey, mother and grandmother was born October 28, 1930 and passed away peacefully November 15th, 2017 with family and friends at her side. "Ruthie" as she preferred to be called, was a friend to all. She lit up a room with her cute bubbly personality and never met a stranger. Ruthie was born in Newark N.J. to John and Susan Novak and was one of eight children living in Union N.J. She married Jim McClusky and settled in Scotch Plains N.J. where they had their only child Cindy. Ruthie moved to Florida with Jim in 1972 and owned and ran the Butterfly Inn in Crystal River, Florida at the airport. After that chapter of her life, she moved to Leesburg and married Henry "Hank" Kielbasa and worked at Florida Medical Industries in Fruitland Park for 26 years. Ruthie's daughter Cindy and husband Edward Wheeler moved from N.J. to the Leesburg area in 1978 and had her grandchildren, Eric and Kristin making Ruthie the happiest grandmother there could be. She was present for every holiday and event of their lives throughout the years. She had been a member of the Lake Square Presbyterian Church and served on the womans' clubs and was in the choir. She loved to sing and dance. Ruthie lived in The Villages from 2008 until present. She met her last husband, Joseph Storey, married at age 84 and was very happy at this time of her life when they both found love for each other as they sang together, danced and held hands. (acting like teenagers). They visited old friends from his Navy career in California and really enjoyed themselves. Ruthie leaves behind her daughter Cindy (Ed), grandchildren Eric Wheeler (Jen and daughter Leona) Kristin Rispoli (Dan) and step children Brian Storey (Lenore), Ann Dean (Mark), Adrian Arthur (Charlie) and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Yes, Ruthie will be missed, but she had a wonderful life traveling and loving her family and left her warm heart and spirit with so many people over the years. Everyone enjoyed Ruthie's company and her generosity. Family would appreciate donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 900 Main Street, Suite 208, The Villages, FL 32159. They were the angels that watched over my moma and took great care of her. Thank you to everyone.
