Ronnie Norris McGuire

With a heart full of gratitude for the life he lived, we share the news that Ron, AKA Ronnie Ron, our beloved father, Pop Pop, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, surrounded by the family he cherished most. If you knew Ron, you knew two things: he loved to be outdoors, and he loved his family even more. Whether he was in a deer stand at the crack of dawn, or out on the water looking for all the honey holes, or cheering loudly from the bleachers at his kids’ and grandkids’ games, and dance recitals—you could always count on his big grin and that most unforgettable, contagious laugh. He was quite the storyteller, a loyal hunting buddy, and the proudest Dad and Pop Pop around, Ron found joy in life’s simple pleasures: a good day in the woods, out on the water, and time spent with his family. He taught us the value of hard work, patience - especially out on the water waiting for a fish or in the woods waiting for a deer (though his patience became shorter as he got older) and loving with your whole heart. Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Dorthy Fae McGuire, and his father, Tommy Lee McGuire. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter (what we wouldn’t give to hear it one more time), love, and well-told tales (some of which may have gotten bigger over the years). He is survived by the mother of his children, Michelle Goers-McGuire. His children Chelsea McCool (Matt McCool), Skyler McGuire and Cash McGuire. His grandchildren Mailey McCool, Huntley McCool, Riggsley McCool, Beau McGuire and Haven McGuire. His siblings Tommy Dale McGuire, Cherie Eicher, Cynthia Ivy, Theresa McFall, Letha Kurth and Patsy Kiebach. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews. His family and friends will deeply miss him but carry his spirit and laughter with them always — especially when spending time with loved ones or being in the great outdoors doing what he loved to do. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Sunday, July 27th at 1:30pm at Licciardello Farms LLC in Summerfield FL. In true Ron fashion, casual attire is welcome—camo, cut off shirts and fishing shirts encouraged. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ron by taking a kid fishing, attending your grandkids' game, or sharing a good laugh with those you love.
