Paul Marion Weaver

Obituary of Paul Weaver, II Paul M. Weaver II, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, in Leesburg, FL, after a brief illness. Paul was born in Portsmouth, OH, on August 11, 1943, to Paul M. Weaver Sr. and Eula (Keene) Weaver. He attended Portsmouth High School, where he was active in sports and several organizations and was elected Senior Class President. He graduated in 1961 and received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He married Deborah Peebles, of Portsmouth, OH, in 1967. He also served his nation with distinction as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He later completed his studies and obtained a degree in Nuclear Power Generation. He worked for many years in the nuclear power industry, eventually becoming an independent international consultant in that field. In that capacity he and Debby were able to travel the world extensively, and lived at various times in England, South Africa, and in numerous locations throughout the United States. Upon retirement, Paul and Debby continued to foster their mutual love of travel and adventure with extended stays in both Mexico and Italy. They chose to make their permanent residence in Leesburg, FL, to allow themselves ample opportunity to spend time with their grandchildren, with whom Paul was able to enjoy a very close and active relationship during his final years; this opportunity brought him great joy and satisfaction and provided a wonderful coda to a life lived fully, generously, and with open arms. Paul is survived by his wife, Deborah Weaver, of Leesburg, FL; his son, Paul M. Weaver III, who resides with his wife Julie in Woodstock, GA; his daughter, Christine W. Osuna, of Orlando, FL; and his grandchildren, Julia Osuna, Victor Osuna, and Olivia Osuna, all of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his mother, Eula Weaver, of Portsmouth, OH; his sisters Judy Maraan, who resides with her husband Benjamin in Cincinnati, OH; Jeri Hughes, of Portsmouth, OH; and Elaine Weaver-Cresie, of Portsmouth, OH. Paul, for whom his family was his paramount love, was further blessed with a large extended family that includes many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sr. A memorial service is being planned for a future date and will be held in Portsmouth, OH. In lieu of flowers or other tokens, the family asks that those wishing to honor his memory do so by making a donation to any charity or cause of their choice
