Ociel era católico en su fe. Era una persona ruidosa y siempre tenía razón. Le gustaba la música, cantar, bailar, jugar al póker, jugar al fútbol y ver jugar a su equipo favorito, Toluca. Sobre todo, le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia, especialmente con sus hijos, sobrinos y sobrinas. Ociel deja como sobrevivientes a su padre: Crisoforo Benítez Domínguez; madre: Oralia Mederoz Benítez; hermanos: Carmela Benítez Velázquez, Marco Antonio Bénítez, Víctor Benítez, Miguel Benítez, Helber Benítez y Anayelli Yenedit Benítez; hijos: Ociel Benítez Jr., Kayla Benítez, Alexander Benítez, Odalis Benítez y Leo Benítez. Le preceden en la muerte sus abuelos paternos, Zacaruis Benítez y María Luisa Benítez; abuela materna, Matilde Benítez. La velatoria se celebrará en la Capilla Purcell el viernes 30 de enero de 2026 de 17:00 a 19:00 y el servicio se celebrará en la iglesia católica de San Lorenzo el sábado 31 de enero de 2026 a las 9:00 de la mañana. He was born in Tlatlaya, Mexico on March 20, 1976 to Crisoforo and Oralia Benitez. Ociel was a Catholic in his faith. He was a loud person and always right. He enjoyed music, singing, dancing, playing poker, playing soccer and watching his favorite soccer team, Toluca play. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and nieces and nephews. Ociel is survived by his father: Crisoforo Benitez Dominguez; mother: Oralia Mederoz Benitez; siblings: Carmela Benitez Velasquez, Marco Antonio Benitez, Victor Benitez, Miguel Benitez, Helber Benitez, and Anayelli Yenedit Benitez; children: Ociel Benitez Jr., Kayla Benitez, Alexander Benitez, Odalis Benitez, and Leo Benitez. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Zacaruis Benitez and Maria Luisa Benitez; maternal grandmother, Matilde Benitez. A visitation will be held at Purcell Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm and the service will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 9:00am. Interment will follow to Center Hill Cemetery.
