Noel Jenkins

Obituary of Noel Jenkins Noel W. Jenkins, 91, died Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was born in Corinth Township, IL, was a bricklayer, a lifetime farmer and moved to The Villages in 2006 from Crab Orchard, IL. Mr. Jenkins was a WWII Veteran serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a lifetime member of The National American Legion; member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Worker's Union #53; and was also a member of The Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion, IL and attended the Chapel of Christian Faith Church in The Villages. He was a Sunday School Teacher and held many offices in the Methodist Church. He was a multi-year delegate to the Illinois State United Methodist Conference. Survivors include 2 daughters: Linda (Sam) Crowell, The Villages; Kitty (Bill) Fairless, Vienna, IL; brother J.W. Jenkins, Goreville, IL; 5 Grandchildren: Brian (Miranda) Crowell, Amy Strait, David (Casey), Robert and Rebecca Fairless; 3 Great Grandchildren: Brandon Crowell, Sierra Strait and Michael Crowell. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by 1 son and 2 brothers. Joint Funeral Services for Mr.& Mrs. Jenkins is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake, with Pastor Larry Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors provided by the Spring Hill Marine Corps League Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Villages Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Visitation Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
