Noble Dowling

Noble Foster Dowling age 82 passed away unexpectedly to be with the Lord and his loved ones February 4th,2021. He grew up in Belvedere and Rockford Illinois,the oldest of four children .Noble Married Sue Dexter in 1958. He and Sue had 2 children Noble Jon, (deceased) and Tracey Lynn (Baird) and 1 granddaughter Sarah Dowling (Bennett). Noble graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Masters degree in Physics and Math and worked for the CIA as a technical Analyst. In 1966 he started work with Fairchild and from there moved to the Aerospace Corp. where he remained until retirement in 2001. Noble loved working in the Space industry. He said it was interesting and exciting to be a part of a space launch systems development team and he looked forward to going to work every day with great people. Noble also found time for his Church, family and community. He and Sue ran a successful Ceramics studio (Su-ramics) in Torrance, California for over 20 years. He was a lifelong scholar and studied the bible , biblical archeology, Astronomy and the sciences. After retirement in 2001 he and his family moved to SpringHill Florida into a new gated community called the Wellington where they used their talents to help build the community including Cert and Crime watch. They joined the SpringHill Methodist Church and were active there for many years. Noble loved to travel with friends and family. He enjoyed many BBQ's at home where he perfected his culinary arts skill(great steaks) . In 2008 Noble and Sue celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Sue passed away in 2011 after a short battle with cancer. Noble met MaryAnn on Match.com and they were married in December of 2012. After Noble recovered from the culture shock of suddenly having an extended family of 9 additional adult children and their families, he discovered the joy of getting together for holidays and events. Noble and MaryAnn spent their time together traveling around the world, sharing their interests in music, theater and the arts. He enjoyed traveling in the RV across the country to meet everyone. There are now 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who all miss Grandpa D. Noble was a special person, a generous, quiet, gentle and loving man. He is greatly missed by all who knew and care for him. A short public memorial and Celebration of Life, will be held for Noble in the Wellington at Seven Hills Club House 400 Wexford Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34609 Saturday April 17th 2021 2:00 PM Everyone is welcome to share their light hearted stories and memories Light refreshments will be served. Please use the Main Wellington entrance located on Mariner and Wexford . The club house is located on Wexford a short distance from the entrance.
