It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael John White, 57, of Umatilla, FL, who left us on July 23, 2026, due to natural causes. Michael was a beacon of kindness and joy, always greeting the world with a smile that warmed the hearts of everyone around him. His unwavering spirit of generosity and friendship was evident to all who were fortunate to know him. Born in Pittsfield, MA, in 1969 to Barbara and Edward White Sr., Michael was raised in a loving home with his four siblings. He cherished family time, often fishing and playing pool with those he held dear. After attending Lyman High School, he followed his passion for travel and adventure, embarking on a fulfilling career as a truck driver with Peninsula Trucking over the past decade. Michael had a profound love for nature and the open road, traveling extensively to share the beauty he discovered with others. His love for fishing was a significant part of his life, especially his cherished trips to Upstate New York where he would reel in delicious salmon, always eager to share his catches with family and friends. Above all, Michael delighted in being a dad. His daughter, Rebecca, was his pride and joy, and their bond was unbreakable. She was his whole world, as he was hers. He welcomed in his son-in-law, Greg, with open arms eager to teach him all his handiwork skills around the house. He was also a loving companion to his girlfriend, Jen, and embraced her children as well. His soft spot for animals was evident with his beloved rescue pup, Ally, who often accompanied him on his journeys. Michael's essence will forever be remembered through his contagious laughter, his silly Facebook memes, and catchphrases like "Riiiiiiitte" and "You bumped your head on what?" His goofiness and zest for life brought smiles to so many. He embodied the qualities of an exceptional father, son, brother, and friend, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who loved him. Michael is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Barbara and Edward White Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca; son-in-law, Greg; girlfriend, Jen, and her children, Vivian, Max, Nick, and Sam; as well as his siblings, Barbara, Sharon, Edward, and Stephen. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 11 AM at Beyers Funeral Home in Umatilla, FL. Following the service, friends and family are invited to gather for a reception at the Umatilla Community Center from 2 PM to 5 PM. In honor of Michael’s spirit, we request that attendees dress casually in a fishing shirt or t-shirt and jeans, reflecting the relaxed and joyous way he lived his life.
