Obituary of Lou Ellen Frazier A bright light has been extinguished in this world, but a new one is shining in heaven. Lou Ellen Billups Frazier of Leesburg, Florida, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born in Ceredo, West Virginia, and moved to Leesburg in 1955. She was a Sun 1st National Bank (now SunTrust) credit officer when she retired in 1977. She is survived by her sons David Michael (Lynne) Frazier of Leesburg and John Paul (Deborah) Frazier of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Dr. William (Donna) Frazier, Ellen Frazier (Brian) Miller, John Robert (Elizabeth) Frazier, and Michael (Jennifer) Austin; great-grandchildren Carson, Davis, and Anna Claire Miller and Charlie, Owen, and Carolynne Frazier; brother John Jewel (Gail) Billups, Jr.; twin sister Ruth Helen Billups Plymale; three nieces and four nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Paul Dorsey (P. D.) Frazier, and her parents, John Jewel and Corrine Katherine Gabbert Billups. As a mother, Lou Ellen defined unconditional love. Her family was always first and foremost in her life. No matter what was going on, she was always there to offer her love and support. She attended every game, recital, play, and concert to see her kids, her grandkids, and her great-grandkids. Anything her family was involved in, she was there beaming with love and pride. She loved God, and stayed true to Him her entire life. Lou Ellen had a wonderful voice, and we always enjoyed listening to her sing while she worked. Cakes and cookies showed up about as often as Halley's Comet (she did not like to bake), but Bobby Flay had nothing on her ham and noodles, and her spaghetti was just the best. She spent almost 87 years loving all of us a bushel and a peck, and if you could count yourself among those she loved, you were truly blessed. The love we showed her she returned tenfold. Our hearts are sad but they are far from empty. She made sure they were filled with her love every time she was around. We all know where she is now and she is happy. God bless Mom and God bless Granny. We will love you forever. A celebration of Lou Ellen's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15th at First Presbyterian Church of Leesburg, 200 S. Lone Oak Drive with Rev. Roy Sharpe officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church, Leesburg, or First Presbyterian Church, Leesburg. Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg is in charge of arrangements.
