Kevin Bradford Tomlinson

Kevin Bradford Tomlinson (53) of Florida passed away July 20, 2021. He was born May 8, 1968, in Columbus, OH. Kevin is survived by his dear wife and best friend of 33 years, Kathee Weed Tomlinson; his son, Klint Tomlinson (Lexie) of Florida; his granddaughter, Kiera Lynn; his father, Jerry Tomlinson (Jan); and his brother-in-law Duane Johnson (Betty) along with many friends that became adopted family, coworkers and acquaintances that became friends. He was preceded in death by his son Kolton Bradford Tomlinson. Kevin served the nation as a submariner aboard the USS Batfish in the U.S. Navy. He extended his service as a member of the American Legion. As a career, Kevin used his skill sets in finance as a financial manager in the automotive and RV industry. He spent all his time away from work with his family, devoting himself to their care. Kevin loved hunting, fishing, and paintball with his sons. He was a "gearhead", loving and knowing the finer details of every automobile; year, make, model, and packages. He also was extremely skilled in planning and executing construction and loved to build and remodel houses for himself and others. He passed that knowledge onto his sons, ensuring one day that they could give reign to them. Kevin had a solid relationship with our Lord and Savior walking a walk every day and trying to be a better person than the day before towards all he encountered. He was a perfect example of kindness and care to humankind. He willingly and spontaneously saw, strategized, and gave care for anyone that he saw had a need, be they friend, stranger, or foe. He was always prepared mentally and physically to help someone from the big jobs to the juice box or emergency heat blanket to give a child or family while he was helping in a roadside repair. He leaves us all a legacy that kindness, service, and attentiveness are the keys to happiness. He will be sorely missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him.
