Judith A. (Creel) Wyatt

Judith A. (Creel) Wyatt was born of parents Frances (Finn) Creel and John P. Creel on December 7, 1946. She peacefully passed away- after a long illness, while holding her husband's hand on February 11, 2026-at their home in The Villages, Florida. Judy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She leaves behind a powerful legacy of faith, love, and devotion to God, family and friends that will continue for generations. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Creel, and infant brother, Gerald; also, by her beloved Aunt Gertrude and Uncle Clifford Fisher and cousin, JoAnn (Fisher) Dybka. Judy is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Wyatt; her two children: Karen (Pedneault) Beierle and her husband, Phillip, and Kevin L. Pedneault and his wife, Kristalyn; sister-in-law, Patricia Creel; sisters Deborah (Creel) Rozanski and her husband, Robert, and Candace (Creel) Lombardi and her husband, Michael; and her cousin Clifford Jr. (Skip) Fisher. She was blessed with four grandchildren whom she loved deeply: Ian and Katherine Beierle, Oliver and Samuel Pedneault, all of whom she would beam as she described with pure adoration to all who knew her as her “heaven on Earth”. In addition, Judy leaves her husband’s three sons and their wives: Thomas Jr. and Michele, Jeffrey and Jennifer and Jason Wyatt, all of whom also provided several grandchildren, Alexandra Wyatt, Sydney and Cassidy Wyatt, Jordan and Jonah Wyatt, Brock Wyatt and several others all dear to her heart. She cherished her nephews and niece: Jay Creel, Sherna (Creel) DuPont, Joshua Ramjeet and Jacob Ramjeet, as well as her many beloved friends. Her home and her heart were always open, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved. The circle of love and empathy that Judy cast throughout her lifetime widened and deepened with each relationship with whom she felt a connection. She graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1964. Throughout her life, Judy held several occupations, most recently at The Children’s Adventure in Newtown, Connecticut, where she loved being a preschool educator prior to her retirement in 2003. Her favorite and most treasured role was being a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children during her twenty five years in the banking industry. Attending her grandchildren’s various sporting events and performances provided Judy with immeasurable joy. Judy enjoyed music and loved to dance, and was never able to sit still when a song struck her. The self-proclaimed “Queen of Clean”, Judy also loved the color green, “Rocky” movies, drinking cinnamon-flavored coffee and baking scones, long chats on the phone, having a back-up for nearly everything she owned (whether it was a pair of shoes, a jar of olives or a bottle of Windex), downhill skiing, and Jazzercise. An avid collector of heart-shaped items, Judy possessed too many to count. Judy loved to share the story of her engagement to her beloved, Tom: he proposed to her on the top of the volcano Haleakala in Hawaii. Her competitive streak was most evident when she played the game of setback and when she was rooting for one of her grandchildren during a sporting event. Some of the most fun highlights of her life include attending live concerts by Neil Diamond and Elvis, meeting Willie Nelson, and meeting Denzel Washington after he was cast in a Broadway show in New York. She also followed the Boston Bruins, and as a lifelong fan of Bobby Orr, she managed to meet him more than once at booster club events making enough of an impression for him to know her by name. A devoted Catholic, Judy was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of Catholic Daughters at Saint Mark The Evangelist. Known for her unwavering faith, Judy found strength and comfort in her relationship with the Lord. She modeled Christ in the way that she loved ALL of her people, and her greatest superpower was that of empathy. She was a prayer champion and a proud supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital, for whom she is named. She looked forward with peace to the day she would be reunited with her loved ones. Her kindness, resilience, and steadfast devotion to family and friends will forever be remembered by all who knew her. Judy’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she poured into her family every single day. Though she will be missed beyond measure, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now whole again and at home with God. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church 7081 SE Hwy 42 Summerfield Florida at 10AM February 25, 2026 and a Private Celebration of Life will be held in CT in Spring 2026.
