Obituary of Joseph Mulvey Joseph E. Mulvey of Lady Lake, Florida died peacefully on February 14, 2014. Mr. Mulvey was born in 1942 in Auburn, New York, son of the late Joseph M. and Mary S. Mulvey. Mr. Mulvey leaves his devoted wife Isabella Mulvey, whom he respected and loved. Over the years they enjoyed golfing and taking motor trips in the USA and Canada. Mr. Mulvey was the loving father of Michael J. Mulvey (Anna), a Quality Engineer of Royal Palm Beach, Florida and Marni Perry Leach (James), a Registered Nurse of North Scituate, Rhode Island. He was the grandfather of Brian J. Perry, Brandon J. Perry, Aaron T. Leach and Aidan J. Leach all of North Scituate. He also leaves his brother Mr. Peter S. Mulvey (Barbara) and his sister Ms. Ann M. Mulvey, all of Auburn, New York. Mr. Mulvey graduated from Union Springs High School in Union Springs, New York in 1959 with honors. He was a member of the basketball, baseball, and tennis teams. His father introduced him to golf when he was 10 years old. They entered father/son golf tournaments through the years. Upon graduation from high school, Mr. Mulvey joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Morocco and Germany. When on leave, he enjoyed golfing and traveling throughout Europe. After four years of service, Mr. Mulvey enrolled in Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York and received a degree in mathematics with honors. Mr. Mulvey was employed as a mathematician and computer engineer for Cornell Labs in Buffalo, New York. In 1976, Mr. Mulvey joined Ratheon Company in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. At the Submarine Signal Division he was a Senior Software Engineer for 18 years and resided in Tiverton, Rhode Island. From 1977-1990 Mr. Mulvey was a member of Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. A memorial reception will be held at the Water Oak Satellite Club House on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, enjoy a sport's game of your choice in Joseph's memory.
