Obituary of Janet Allen Janet L. Allen, 83, of The Villages, FL passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. Janet and her deceased husband, Vernon resided in Centerville, Ohio and relocated to The Villages in 1997. Prior to retiring in The Villages she taught school for many years. She was active in many organizations in our community including: Guys and Dolls, Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority- Miami of Ohio, First Presbyterian Church of Wildwood, De La Vista Club and volunteered for many other activities. She was a great golfer and gardener and enjoyed card and board games with her many friends. She was a remarkable person who lifted up and inspired everyone around her. Her positive attitude and kind nature made her a treasure to everyone she met. She is survived by her sister Linda Ray of New Paris, Ohio, brother Harold Beckett and his wife Sandra of Eaton, Ohio, her daughter Jennifer Bath, her husband Gary and their two children, Jessica and Jacob, her son Jay Allen of Springfield, Ohio and his daughter Katelyn, her brother in law, Ronnie Allen and his wife Sania of Sarasota, Florida. Sister in Law Gail and her husband Joe Owen of Brandon, Florida. She also leaves behind her fiancé, Bill Bradford of the Villages and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, Harold and Irma Beckett, brother Ronald Beckett, Sister in Law Carol Beckett and Brother in Law Paul Ray, preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N. Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, Florida at 3pm. She will be interred in Centerville, Ohio where there will be a memorial service at a date to be determined.
