Obituary of Donald Veroneau Donald Edward Veroneau, born October 29 1929, passed away at his home in Umatilla Florida of Liver Cancer on Monday, July 6, 2015. Don lived a full Christ filled life. Don's son said it best: "He was fortunate to have found love 4 times in life". Don was married to June Marie Hunter Veroneau from 1950 to 2007 when she left to be with the Lord. He found a very unique and short lived love again in 2007 with his "bride" Myra A. Tucker. He also loved and was loved by two children, Donald William Veroneau and Susan Marie Veroneau as well as a step daughter Edith Dague. Don was very proud to have had the opportunity to serve his country from 1950 to 1954 as Sergeant First Class in the United States Army. Don was also a graduate of Kent State University. He became a Mason in 1962. Don started his professional career at Youngstown Sheet and Tool as a sales representative. He also worked alongside his Father at Larson Laboratory. Don found his calling with Dictaphone as a National Sales Trainer. He developed the Sales Training Department for ITT in Jackson, Tennessee. He finished his career in Denver, Colorado with US West and retired to The Villages in Florida. Don was very active in his church, Morrison Methodist Church of Leesburg, and loved to sing in the choir. In retirement Don enjoyed tennis, golf and his great love of music. He was an accomplished artist, pianist, and trumpet player. Music and art brought so much joy to his heart. Don survived his parents, Napoleon Veroneau and Ruth Veroneau. Two Aunts. Fran Rider and Esther Taylor and one Uncle William Taylor. Don is survived by his wife, Myra A. Tucker; a son Don Veroneau of Jackson, Tennessee; a daughter Sue Veroneau of Fort Worth, Texas; two Grandchildren: Ashley Newman and Samantha Veroneau; two Great Grandchildren: Hadley Newman and Autumn Newman as well as two step children. Viewing will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The service will held at Morrison Methodist Church in Leesburg on Friday at 3:00pm. A buffet for the attendees of the service will allow the family to greet family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
