Dean L. Massey

Dean L. Massey passed away at his apartment in Apollo Beach, FL on December 22 at the age of 56. Dean was born in Dallas, Texas on April 4th, 1964 to Farrell and Connie Massey. He graduated from Holliston High School in 1982. He continued his education at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts with a scholarship to play hockey. Dean would eventually switch schools to Kent State University where he fell in love with Marcie. Dean married to Marcie Massey on August 16th 1986 and together, they raised a son: Ryan. In order to support his family, Dean fostered a successful career as a carpenter/finisher eventually opening his own business in the same trade. He was always working on remodeling any house that he lived in so that his family could live in a nice home. After his marriage ended in 2014, Dean chose to close his business so he could move to southern Florida in order to take care of his aging parents. Dean made the most of his situation and quickly purchased an annual pass for the amusement parks in Orlando. He loved going to the theme parks and would go any time he could, even if only to eat at one of the many themed restaurants. Dean lived his last years frequenting these restaurants and enjoying the fresh ocean air that Apollo Beach provides. Dean is predeceased by his Father, Farrell Massey and his mother, Connie Massey. Dean is survived by his son, Ryan Massey, Lakewood, Ohio, and his sister Tracie Mucciarone, Bellingham, Massachusetts. Dean will be remembered lovingly and missed by all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and a laugh that would brighten up the whole room. Dean was a hard working man, a great father, and the best friend a guy could ask for. The world's light may shine a little dimmer without Dean in it, but he shall live on in us through the stories we tell and the memories we share.
