Allen William Dearwester Born: 1954 Died: 2026 Allen was a loving husband, fasher, pappy, brother, uncle and friend. He loved them with his whole being. He was an avid Star Wars fan, loved all types of music, was a fanatic regarding anything Florida Gators, loved NASCAR, and was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan. Allen William Dearwester 72 of Fruitland Park, FL was called home on June 20,2026 in Leesburg, FL. Allen was born in Covington, KY May 26,1954 to Alfred and Rosemary Dearwester. Allen went to New Smyrna Beach High School where he was a pitcher and a linebacker for their baseball and football teams The Barracudas. Once he graduated, he toured with his band "White Mule" before going to work at Pillin & Smith. This was the beginning of his truck driving career where he had an impeccable safety record. He went on to work for Kraft, Circuit City, and Dunkin Donuts before retiring in 2019. Allen met the love of his life Susan in 1980 at Chopping Block while she was working there. He finally got the nerve to ask her out when his helper for the day stated that he was going to ask her out. He thought she was too good for him. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on November 20,1982 in Leesburg, FL at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Allen & Susan started their family as soon as they could. They welcomed their first son Allen Stephen Dearwester on September 5,1983 and their second son Matthew Allen Dearwester on January 30,1994. Though Allens boys were the reason for his existence, in 2011 he found a new reason for living. His first granddaughter Savannah Leigh Dearwester was born. In 2015 another granddaughter Kara Jade Dearwester entered his life. Lovingly called Pappy, he gave Savannah her 1st concert experience and was always up late with Kara making her Mac & Cheese and scrambled eggs. He never missed a moment to spend time with them at Disney or at home. Allen had a soft spot for his furry friends Laci. He made sure she was always taken care of and had her own Christmas stocking. Allen had many friends growing up. He maintained relationships with them to this day. They were always surfing, playing in the band or hanging out with each other. He always made time to meet up whenever he could and looked forward to every class reunion. Allen will always be remembered for his kind and loving heart. He was very philosophical and always had a way to make you feel better. We will always remember him saying "Go Gators" and "May the force be with you." We couldn't ask for a better husband, fasher, brother Pappy, uncle and friend. We will miss Allen every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. Allen was preceded in death by his mother Rosemay Dearwester and father Alfred Dearwester. Allen is survived by his wife Susan Dearwester, sons Allen (Jennifer) Dearwester, Matthew (Des) Dearwester, granddaughters Savannah and Kara Dearwester, siblings David (Elizabeth) Dearwester, William Dearwester, Emily (Sheldon) Morris, Marc (Linda) Dearwester, and Rosanne Chiulli. He is also survived by countless nieces and nephews who loved him just as much. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
