Velma Leona Lee

Velma Leona Lee was born in Wauchula, Florida on February 1, 1935 to Horace and Carrie Belle Blocker. Her family relocated to Lake County when she was a child where she grew up and went to school. She graduated from Tavares High School where she was a cheerleader. She was Pentecostal and she played the piano and sang in her church. She also fulfilled various other roles in church through the years as church secretary, choir director, day care worker, and worship team. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Samuel Lee, three brothers; Charles, Richard, and James Blocker, her sister, Virginia Lively, and two great-grandchildren, Levi and Teri Lynn Turner. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Turner, her son, Paul (Ethel) Conner, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and four great, great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
