Roy E. Holland

July 17, 1951 - January 12, 2022

Roy Holland passed unexpectedly on January 12, 2022. Roy was born on the 17th of July 1951 in Boaz, Alabama. Roy served in the United States Army for 12 and a half years. He served in Ft Benning Georgia, Friedberg Germany and Ft Bliss Texas. After leaving the Army he worked for El Paso Water Utility where he became a Superintendent until he retired in 2014. He moved to Ocala, Fl where he currently resided. He is survived by his wife Donna Holland, son Christian Holland and daughter Laura Newman. Roy was the grandfather of 3 and Great Grandfather of 3. He was the brother of Rita Clements. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers as well as his parents. Roy loved his family and never met a stranger. He was helpful to anyone who needed him, especially family and friends. He was always willing to do anything needed and ensure his family was always ok and be there when they needed him. He wanted everyone to be happy; which made him happy. Roy enjoyed boating, fishing, his tools and hanging out with the family. Roy's favorite holiday was Christmas. He loved putting up Christmas lights and seeing the smile on everyone's faces. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida. Funeral services will be held the same day at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida beginning at 1:00 PM with Military Honors. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Lady Lake, Florida.
