Rose Vaream

December 7, 1936

Rose "Cookie" Vaream passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Villages Regional Hospital, Florida with her husband Nicholas and sons Peter and Craig at her side. Rose was born December 7, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of Thomas and Pauline (Samock) Kentouris. She graduated from Madison High School in Brooklyn and was employed by Home Life Insurance and U.S. Trust Company. Rose also worked at the family's insurance agency with her husband for several years. Serving the church was a foundation in Rose's life and she was involved for over 50 years in the Sunday Church School at St. Paul's Greek Cathedral in Garden City, NY and St. Mark's Greek Church in Belleview, FL. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Nicholas and children Peter and Ellen (Pergola) and Craig and Irene (Antoniou), along with grandchildren Nicholas, Christian, Stephanie and Alexander. A burial will be held at Calverton National Cemetery in New York next week and a celebration of Rose's life will be conducted in the future, when permitted.
