Muriel Viola Burtoft, 91, of Tavares, Florida passed away in Tavares, Florida on May 13, 2022. She was born in Munro, Michigan to Samuel and Selina Orr. She was Baptist in faith and attended the Alarka Baptist Church in Bryson City, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband: Pastor Lawrence Burtoft of Tavares, Florida; sons: David Burtoft of Rossville, Georgia; Stephen Burtoft of Lovell, Wyoming; Kenneth Burtoft of Leesburg, Florida; daughter: Elizabeth Burtoft of Tavares, Florida; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son: Lawrence Edward “Larry” Burtoft, Jr. A service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Florida National Cemetery at 10:00am. Everyone in attendance may meet at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00am and join the processional to the service at Florida National Cemetery. All arrangements being handled by Beyers Funeral Home-Purcell Chapel in Bushnell, Florida.
