Mollie Conley

March 18, 1949 - January 31, 2022

Mollie Kathryn Conley, born on March 18th, 1949, passed away peacefully in her Florida home at 11:32am on January 31st, 2022. She was in the presence of her family at the time of her death. Mollie died from Acute Myeloid Leukemia shortly after her diagnosis in early November. Mollie was divinely kind and nurturing to everyone in her life. She cared for her mother, Mildred Fleihman (who had dementia), for almost 15 years as well as caring for her husband Larry, the love of her life, who had been slowly developing Alzheimers at the time of her mother's death. Mollie was born in Woodsfield Ohio and later went to beauty school in Marietta Ohio. It was there she met her first husband Ken Hackathorn and started her career as a hair stylist at Charles's Hairdressers salon. Mollie and Ken later divorced and she married Joseph Larry Conley in 1991. Between Mollie & Larry there are 6 daughters. After the youngest girls went off to college, she and Larry retired to the Florida Keys where they spent almost 30 years falling deeper in love with the ocean. They spent most of their time boating, fishing, lobstering, snorkeling & diving. They enjoyed spending time with their friends, hosting sunset cruises and boat parties at picnic island. Mollie was an exceptional homemaker with a super talent for decorating. She was a true master when it came to creating the most inviting homestead for family and friends. She fostered so many memories of laughter, togetherness and beauty. She was also an exceptional cook and seamstress, she often played piano, & loved curating the most beautiful landscapes on her Florida keys property. She and husband Larry certainly loved animals. Friends & family might recall that the pair would often road trip with their cat, dog and 3 parrots to see family in Ohio. She will be missed by many and we expect to be connected to her in death as strongly as we were in life. Mollie is proceeded in death by her Mother and Father Mildred & Glenn Fliehman and her brother Max Fliehman. She is survived by her husband Joseph Larry Conley, her sister Linda Fisher, and her 6 daughters: Ellerie & Tiffany Hackathorn of Washington. Lisa Smith of North Carolina, Sherri Williams & Pam Harney of South Carolina, Mindi Martin of Florida. Grandchildren: Kaylee, Devin, Stanton, & Delainey. Great Grandchildren: Annabelle, Dawson, Christian, & Casen.
