Lance George Walker, 85, from Riverview, Florida passed away in Tampa, Florida on October 20, 2021. He was born in New York, New York to Mr. William and Ruth Walker. He was Methodist in faith. Mr. Walker was an officer in the United States Navy in the Supply Course. He was a member of the Shriners. Mr. Walker was a hard worker, who owned his own business at the age of 16, packing green tomatoes. He also owned an RV business for 28 years in Big Flats, NY. He graduated cum laude from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A service will be held on Friday November 5 at 9:30 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with interment following. All arrangements are being handled by Purcell Funeral Home Chapel in Bushnell, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 13 years: Janet Walker of Riverview, Florida; children: Laurie Patton (Dave) of Pine City, New York; Wendy Greer of Mendon, New York; Scott Walker (Sue) of Shortsville, New York; 8 grandchildren; step children: Colleen Davies (Steve) of Hoover, Alabama; Patrick Gibbons (Kim) of Riverview, Florida; and 5 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Barbara Walker; sister: Ruth Walker and son-in-law: Bob Greer.
