Jerry Glenn Wheat (59) of Paisley, FL passed away on January 20, 2022. He was born February 10, 1962 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Andrew Harliss and Thelma Mae (Harbor) Wheat. Jerry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Theresa (Baker) Wheat; his daughter Christine Thompson (Stanley) of Harpers Ferry, WV; his grandchildren Samantha and Chase; his siblings Billy Wheat (Nancy) of Ocala, FL, Ronnie Wheat (Linda) of Tangerine, FL, Beverly of LA, Betty of IN, James Wheat of Apopka, Tony Wheat of Tavares, FL, Timmy Wheat of Tavares, FL and Donna (Butch) of Apopka, FL along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Harliss Wheat and Thelma Mae (Harbor) Wheat, his son Samuel Westberry Jr. and his brother Dennis Wheat. Jerry loved the outdoors. His career matched his love by working as an assistant manager at Blalock Nurseries. He also enjoyed his country music, a good beer, doing and eating BBQ, and mostly being around family and friends. He was a good husband and father, an all around family man who would give whatever was necessary. He has left many memories and will be missed. There will be a funeral service for Jerry at the Beyers Funeral Home, 279 S. Central Ave. in Umatilla, FL on Saturday, January 29 at 3:00 pm. There will also be a visitation time from 1:00-3:00 pm.
