Jack Melvin Mason, 68, of Groveland, Florida, passed away in Umatilla, Florida on October 20, 2021. He was born in Bushnell, Florida on September 20, 1953 to Quincy and Laura Mason. He was Christian by faith, and was a member of the Central Florida Dog Hunters Association. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Marilynn Murray of Groveland, Florida; sons: Jackie Mason (Kelley) of Groveland, Florida, Chris Spann (Aleacia) of Paisley, Florida, and Telly Willett (Ashley) of Bushnell, Florida; daughters: Michelle Turner (Tony) of Mascotte, Florida and Jalanda Asbury (Lee) of Umatilla, Florida; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers: Gilbert Mason (Pat) of Ft. Myers, Florida and Wayne Mason of Dexter, Georgia; and sister Daisy Huggins (Randy) of Bushnell, Florida. A service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:30 pm at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with Pastor Quinton Story officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Lindsey Cemetery. All arrangements held by Purcell Funeral Home Chapel in Bushnell, Florida.
