Inis Evelyn Keedy

August 21, 1927 - April 6, 2022

Inis Evelyn Keedy was born on August 21, 1927, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania. She died on April 6, 2022, at the age of 94. Inis graduated from Turtle Creek High School and later attended Secretarial School. In 1945, she married her childhood sweetheart, Frank Keedy, with whom she had four children: James F. (Jeannie) Keedy, Thomas E. (Diane), Dorothy A. Keedy, and Nancy (Glenn) Keedy Vann. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren -Blake Keedy, Keri Keedy, Jenna (Loren) Vann Vasquez, Kyle (Jessica) Vann, Clayton Reynolds, and Grace Reynolds-and 7 great-grandchildren-Marshall Widmann, Payton Widmann, Callie Keedy, Vivian Vasquez, Julia Vasquez, Madison Vann, and Natalie Vann. Inis loved reading, sewing, traveling, listening to music, and entertaining-she always hosted the best parties. What she loved most of all was children, especially babies. She had a special bond with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. While raising her children, she rarely said no to having friends sleep over or join the family for dinner. There was often someone extra at the table. Inis also volunteered for many years in Kindergarten-2nd grade classrooms. She loved reading to children and doing crafts with them. She always showed up with snacks, drinks, and treats for the students in her classroom. Inis was an avid Florida State fan, sending all four of her children there and attending many football games over the years. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 11 at 11am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 25A Leesburg, Florida.
