Helen (Rogers) Box, 74, of Weirsdale, FL passed away surrounded by her family on January 4, 2022. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband: Judson Box; daughters: Tina Terrel (Tom), Christine Box; grandchildren: Casey, Kelsey, Colesby, Nico, Corina; and sisters: Michelle Rogers, Pamela (John) Peel, Roberta Rogers, and Lynda Valdez. Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Helen Lenora Stephens and Joseph Charles Rogers; sisters: Jo Anita Rogers and LaRose Bass; and son Gary Box. Born in Jamaica, NY, she grew up in Wantagh, NY on Long Island and raised her family there as well. She had a passion for horses and always loved betting on the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes. Upon retiring from the Town of Hempstead Housing Department, she moved to Weirsdale, FL in 2003 with her husband where they bred and raised Paso Fino horses and German Shorthaired Pointer dogs. Their horses, Sonoval, Tak, Valeretta, Alixora, L'Oreal and Boogity-Shoo, dogs Zora and Ziggy, and cat, Miss Kitty will all miss her.
