Gary S Arlotta

January 6, 1950 - June 2, 2022

Gary S. Arlotta passed away at his home on June 2, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 72 years old. Gary was born in Brooklyn New York on January 6, 1950. He moved to Brewster New York when he was six where he attended Brewster Central School. In 1959 Gary and his family moved to Florida with mom, Dorothy and dad, Louis, along with his siblings. Gary loved the beach and spent as much time as he could surfing and looking for that perfect wave. He attended Ft. Lauderdale High School. He also spent a lot of time with his best friend Roland who remained his best friend throughout his life. In the fall of 1976 Gary entered the U. S. Army and completed school for the military police. He served and was honorably discharged. Gary continued to live in central Florida throughout his life. He spent many holidays with his sister Linda who lives close by. And was excited when his Linda’s twin sister, Carol, moved to the area too. He was a very affectionate and loving person. He is survived by his brother Craig Arlotta, his sisters Carol Arlotta and Linda Schafer, and many nieces, nephews, their children and families (Stephanie McMahon, Jason Schell, Nichalas &, Teresa Melfi and her daughter Rosemarie and son Jonathan Schafer, and Craig & Donna Arlotta and their children Craig and Austin. Gary was dearly loved and cherished and will be missed. Gary is with his mother and father along with other family members in heaven who predeceased him. He and his family are of strong faith and know they will be reunited again in heaven. Interment, with Military Honors, will be held at Florida National Cemetery at a future date
