Eugene Clyo Twiss

Eugene Clyo Twiss left for Heaven on December 6, 2021. Born January 23, 1933 in Bowling Green, Florida along his twin brother Clyde to August Eugene Twiss and Rufus Black Twiss. He left a legacy behind in his family. Survived by his wife Karin Twiss, daughters Sheryll Twiss Yoakum (Ed) and Carol Twiss Williams. Grandchildren Steve Yoakum, Lori Yoakum Sherwood (Ryan), Kevin E Yoakum (Brandy), Kelly Smith Stern and Andrew Williams. Great Grandchildren Amber, Johnni, Wyatt, Carter, Luke, Jordy, Mitchel, Mason. Predeceased by his parents, wife Wanda Twiss, identical twin brother Clyde and 18 additional brothers and sisters. Gene loved to hunt and fish with his children, grandchildren and brothers. He was a 30 year Firefighter for the City of Leesburg and retired as Battalion Chief. He was also very active in the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene for many years and headed many building projects over the years. He was loved and respected by anyone that met him and was a loyal friend to all. He will be greatly missed by many. There will be a visitation Wednesday December 8 from 6 to 8 p.m There will be a service Thursday December 9th at 11 am at the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg FL, 34748. Interment at Lone Oak cemetery in Leesburg, FL following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory.
