Eileen Ethel Radke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eileen Ethel Radke, 94, of Leesburg passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022 in Leesburg, Florida. Eileen was born in Ripon, Wisconsin to Otto and Bertha Duehring Miller. She attended local schools in Ripon. She married the love of her life John “Jack” Radke and started their family. She and Jack moved to Florida nearly 30 years ago and lived an active retirement. Eileen was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church for over 25 years and member of the choir, and the Women’s Prayer Shawl ministry. She loved music and played piano and keyboard to stacks of sheet music from the 1940’s. She and Jack frequently traveled to Branson, Missouri for its varied musical venues. She was an avid crafter and knitter, knitting baby sweater sets. One of her creations found it’s way to a pastor’s family in Africa. Knit cotton dish rags became fundraiser items and coveted gifts. She and Jack peddled their craftwares in the area for many years. Eileen and Jack loved cruises and time spent at their Ormond Beach timeshare. Their furthest trip was Australia to visit Eileen’s brother Earl and his wife Norma, an Aussie native. Eileen is survived by her sister Bette Lozano (Don) of Woodland Hills, CA. Children: son Dr. John W. (Celeste) Radke of New Columbia, PA, and daughters Barbara K. (Michael) Novitske of New Port, WA and Phyllis A. (Jerry) Shew of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves 6 grandchildren; Matthew, Jon, Kyle, Adam, Brandon and Karis and 5 great grandchildren; Lucas, Daxton, Peyton, Kade and Ruby. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2016. Eileen will be interred beside Jack at the Florida National Cemetery. A committal service will be held at the cemetery at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 25, 2022. Pastor David Stauffer will officiate.
