Douglas "Doug" Crews

October 28, 1967 - June 4, 2022

Douglas “Doug” Crews (54) was born on October 28, 1967 in Shreveport, Louisiana. His family moved to South Florida when he was four years old where he lived for many years. He married Tracey Daws and had two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Morgan. Doug loved his daughters more than anything in this world. In 2021 Doug moved from Cooper City to Leesburg, Florida to be closer to his mother and sister. Once there, he met his girlfriend Becky McFadden, and they were together up until the time of his death. Doug passed away as the result of a tragic car accident on June 4th, 2022 in Leesburg. Doug is preceded in death by his father Robert Crews. He leaves behind his beloved daughters Taylor (24) and Morgan (20), his mother Candace Crews and stepfather Chuck Tinder, sister Jenice (Gary) Grunfelder, his girlfriend Becky McFadden, three nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Doug was always the life of the party, making everyone laugh and being unapologetically himself. He was the first to call to check on things and lend a helping hand. He loved his job as a greenskeeper at Harbor Hills CC and he gave his all on the job. Doug was an avid sports fan, he loved watching all things sports, especially golf, Miami Dolphins Football & Miami Hurricanes football. Doug loved his family most of all, he never missed an opportunity to say I love you, brag about his daughters or let it be known how much he cared about you. He also loved spending time with Becky, his girlfriend of a little more than a year. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on June 25, 2022, from 1:00 till 3:00 pm at the Hermitage activity center in The Plantation at Leesburg. Please use the address 25201 US HWY 27 Leesburg Fl in your GPS, which will direct you to the Plantation Boulevard entrance/guard gate. Once at the front gate, ask the attendant for directions to Hermitage Hall. The family would like to express a huge thank you to everyone for all the prayers, phone calls, cards and text messages. Please continue to pray for them during this difficult time.
