Diana Jean Clark

May 29, 1951 - November 22, 2021

Mt. Dora, FL - Diana Jean Clark went to be with the Lord on November 22, 2021 at AdventHealth Waterman at the age of 70. She succumbed to the effects of Covid-19. Born in Englewood, New Jersey, on May 29, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Stefania "Nan" (Baka) and Charles Clark, Jr. Growing up in Newark, DE, she graduated from Christina High School. While her Dad was working for DuPont, the family lived in Luxembourg and traveled throughout Europe. She graduated from Shelton College, Cape May, NJ with B. A. In Education. In 1975, she relocated to Mt. Dora, FL joining her parents who had retired there. She was a devoted daughter who cared for her parents as they aged. During her career, she worked in libraries, taught school, as well as worked for two medical-equipment services companies. She loved road trips and especially liked mapping out itineraries, choosing museums and other stops along the way. She enjoyed being outdoors, including mowing her lawn, fishing and golfing with her Dad, baking and sewing with her Mom, and fixing up her house. Her artistic talent knew no bounds. She was a talented photographer and her Nikon was at the ready for a great shot. She designed and created jewelry she generously gave to family and friends. Enjoying birds and faithfully feeding them, she had an affinity for attracting hummingbirds that would feed from her hand. Proud of her grandparents' and great-grandparents' Scottish and Ukrainian heritage, she researched her family's genealogy, crafting an amazing photographic album capturing family memories and history. A trusting person, kind-hearted, and caring, she had an outgoing personality and was a good friend and neighbor. At New Hope Presbyterian Church PCA, Eustis, FL she attended the Sunday Services and Thursday morning Bible Study. She is survived by her 'big brother' David Clark and his wife, Janet Clark, Cousin Ted Waltman, his wife Jean, and their children Mark, and Brian. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as Uncle Gerald and Aunt Katherine Waltman, Aunt Mary and Cousin George McKechnie, and Jean Bartlett, her namesake. A celebration of Diana's life will be held on Wed., Dec. 8 at 11 am at New Hope Presbyterian Church, Eustis. Burial will be private. The family thanks Diana's pastor Reverend Richard L. Burguet, New Hope Presbyterian Church PCA, his wife Anne Burguet, Melinda Wallace, New Hope Presbyterian Church PCA, and kind neighbors and friends Wade and Deborah King. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diana's memory to The Rafiki Foundation (rafikifoundation.org).
