David Richard Ovitt

David Richard Ovitt, 64, of Bushnell, Florida passed away in Ocala, Florida on November 12, 2021. He was born in Newburgh, New York on June 28, 1957 to Louis and Joan Ovitt. He was a member of the FFA, Cub Master for Pack # 313 in Lake Panasoffkee, Committee member for Boy Scout Troop #439 in Bushnell, Florida, members of many Propane Associations. He was co-owner of Northside Propane in Lutz, Florida. He was in the Propane Industry for 36 Years. He was a Graduate of York High School in Yorktown, Virginia. He loved fishing, boating, racing, going on vacations and spending time with family, friends and his grandchildren. He was a best friend, soulmate, wonderful husband, father and grandfather. As many of you know we have lost a great one, but the angels have gained a great one. He will be missed by many, not just his family. He is survived by his wife: Wendy Ovitt of Bushnell, Florida; 4 sons: Jeremy Ovitt (Melissa) of Lutz, Florida; David Ovitt of Zephyhills, Florida; Matt Alvarez of Bushnell, Florida; Tony Alvarez of Bushnell, Florida; 3 grandchildren: Cameron Ovitt; Ella Ovitt; Greyson Ovitt; 2 brothers: Roger Ovitt (Tracey) of Lanexa, Virginia; Tim Ovitt (Patty) of Marietta, Georgia; 2 sisters: Leah Hall (Jim) of Crawfordville, Florida; Christine Pelletier (Russ) of Winter Haven, Florida. We can't think of any other way to celebrate David's life but to have a Celebration of Life where family and friends can come share stories of Dave. Please join us Saturday December 11, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. for his memorial and food. For anyone that can't make it on Saturday please join us Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at his home in Bushnell, Florida.
