Cristobal Benavides, 76, of Webster, Florida passed away in Leesburg, Florida on February 17, 2022. He was born in Tamualipas, Mexico on May 1, 1945 to Alejandro and Eduarda Benavides. He was Pentecostal by faith. He enjoyed farming, playing his guitar, fishing, selling produce at the Webster Flea Market, and singing and praising his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Emilia Benavides of Webster, Florida; sons: Cristobal Benavides, Jr. of Webster, Florida and Antonio (Carey) Benavides of Sumterville, Florida; daughter: Irene B. (Robert) Hernandez of Webster, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Beatriz Vega of Ashburn, Georgia and Rachael Rios of Wauchula, Florida; brothers: Isaias (Lupe') Benavides of Bastrop, Texas, Pablo (Vera) Benavides of Moultrie, Georgia, Alejandro (Maria) Benavides of Webster, Florida, and Rick (Delia) Benavides of Center Hill, Florida. A service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00 am at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with Pastor Juan Ramirez and Pastor Derrick West officiating. Interment will follow at Stewart Chapel Cemetery.
