Aaron Kenneth Varnum

April 22, 1937 - January 26, 2022

Aaron Kenneth Varnum, 84, of Bushnell, Florida passed away in Tampa, Florida on January 26, 2022. Kenneth was born in Wildwood, Florida on April 22, 1937 to Donald and Ruby Steffens. He was Protestant by faith. He was a loving Daddy and Papa who enjoyed hunting, fishing, water skiing, going to the hunting camp, going to the casinos with his family and friends, watching football and little league baseball. He loved his Elvis music and Clint Eastwood movies. Most of all he loved spending time with his family during gatherings and Sunday dinners. He is survived by his children: Debbie Williams (James) of Blytheville, Arkansas, Cindy Blackwell (Brian) of Webster, Florida, Donnie Varnum (Phyllis) of Wildwood, Florida, Kayla Hickox (Marshall) of Bushnell, Florida, David Varnum (Angela) of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, Keith Varnum of Dade City, Florida, Karen Robinson of Bushnell, Florida, and Kevin Varnum (Dee) of Dresden, Tennessee; grandchildren: Michelle, Jennifer, Rudy, Michael, Christa, Nina, Andrea, Lance, Courtney, Kyle, Shayna, Dave aka Shorty, Heather, Shane, Tristen, Ryan, Amanda, Amber, Zac, Alex and Connor; 28 great-grandchildren. He was also loved by so many including his former wife of 45 years Elizabeth Varnum. He is preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Ruby Steffens, brothers: RO and Aubrey Varnum, sister: Lucille Smith, granddaughter: Serina Williams and great-granddaughter: Isla Kinnear. A visitation will be held at Purcell Funeral Home, 114 West Noble Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and a service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery. Anyone who wishes to be in the funeral procession needs to be at the funeral home at 1:30-1:45 pm. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.purcellfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, Florida.
