Obituary of Wrightson Lewis Wrightson Lewis, 81, The Villages, FL passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born in East Orange, NJ and moved to The Villages from Fayetteville, NC in 1998. He was a member of St. George Episcopal Church, Lady Lake, FL; NAUS (National Assoc. of Uniformed Svcs.), Chapter 9 of FL; Retired Lt. Col. US Army 23 years; US Army Korean War Vet; US Army Viet Nam War Vet; DAV (Disabled American Vets); Retired Officers Assoc.; North Carolina Dept. of Corrections Officer for the Youth Diversion Programs and had a B.S. Degree from the University of Beverly Hills, CA. Mr. Lewis was a former volunteer at The Villages Regional Hospital Emergency Room. He was an avid golfer; loved to dance, enjoyed cruises and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Jeannette H. Lewis, The Villages, FL; 2 sons: Lloyd E. Lewis, San Antonio, TX; Bruce D. Lewis, Los Cruces, NM; daughter Jeannette L. Schrieber; 8 Grandchildren: Justin, Travis, Jonathan, Kathryn, Kyle, Kristine, Claire and Stephan; 6 Great Grandchildren: Donovan, Cheyenne, Casey, McKenzie, Hunter and Sophia Jeannette. He was pre-deceased by his son Wrightson W. Lewis in 1991. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011, 11:00a.m. at St. George Episcopal Church, Lady Lake with Father Hugh Bromley officiating. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778; Alzheimer's Family Organization, P.O. Box 1939, New Port Richey, FL 34656-1939; or St. George Episcopal Church, 1250 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159-9315.
