William "Bill" Nichols

The world has lost one of the best. William H. “Bill” Nichols, 89, of Tavares, FL, passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2022 with his family by his side. Bill was born on August 28th, 1933, to parents H.J. and Lilian(Porter) Nichols in Leesburg, FL. Bill attended and graduated from Leesburg High School in 1951. He later captured the heart and married the love of his life, Magalene “Maggie” (Beasley) Nichols in 1953. They shared 69 loving years of marriage. Bill was employed by Florida Power for 3 years, State Loan Company for 28 years, and Citizens Bank for 15 years. Bill is survived by 2 sons: Steve (Jeanmarie “Bucky”) Nichols and Dale (Donna) Nichols. 5 Grandchildren: Chase (Chrissy) Nichols, Joshua (Brittney) Nichols, Sabrina (Peanut) Wilson, Heather (Cedric) Box, Austin (Shelby) Nichols and 10 great grandchildren. Bill will be missed by all especially by his grandchildren. The sun rose and set on him. He spent endless hours with them; giving advice, wisdom, teaching them to drive a boat, ride a jet ski, 4-wheeler riding, fishing, scalloping, or hunting. He was the best papa anyone could ever ask for. Bill also had a love for sports, especially when the Gators were playing. Bill had a heart of gold and a smile to match. He was a great provider and protector of his wife, Maggie, who he loved deeply. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2022 at 10am at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL, who will also be in charge of all arrangements. The family of William H.
