William F. Krivda

Obituary of William Krivda, Jr. William Krivda Jr., 87, of The Villages, FL went Home to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 20, 2015. Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, William resided in Florida for the last 25 years. He served proudly in the Army, where he received many medals for his service including the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal as well as the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. After leaving the military he then worked for TWA airlines, before retiring after 43 years of service. He was active in his church, St. Timothy's Catholic Church, as well as Knights of Columbus Honor Guard, American Legion, US Army 8th Calvary, and Vice President of the 2007 57th Annual Reunion of the 8th Calvary. William had a passion for world travel and volunteering whenever needed for his church, veterans and residents of his community. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Meredith Krivda Sr., his sister, Wilsie Sestito and brothers, David and Patrick Krivda. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ida E. (McQueen) Krivda. He is survived by his wife Bernice (Rice) Krivda of FL, sister, Doris Krier of CA, and brother, Thurman Krivda of OH. Also surviving him are his daughters, Ann Blaha and Ida Norris of OH, and stepchildren, Linda Kyle, Deborah Hust and Lawrence Rice of CT, Gary Rice and Sharon Landry of FL. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family request in lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory be made to an organization of your choice. A visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 from 3-5PM at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, The Villages, on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 at 8:30am, followed by Interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
