Vicki Pratt Rector

Vicki Pratt Rector, (formerly Vicki Lee Pratt), 68, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on November 11, 2023. She was born on August 24, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia, USA, to the late Ralph and Alice Pratt. Vicki was a beloved member of the community, known for her kind and caring nature. Vicki had a fulfilling career as a Tupperware Saleswoman for over four decades, from 1979 until her passing in 2023. She was also passionate about helping others and dedicated her time to childcare and elderly caregiving as a volunteer at her church as well as a profession. Vicki's selfless nature extended beyond her career, as she loved spending time with friends and going to her grandkids' school and sporting events. Education was important to Vicki. She graduated from Leesburg High School and cherished her alma mater. She was a proud member of her class reunion committee where she served as class treasurer and has been since her graduation in 1973. She also frequented FFA events at her alma mater. In her free time, Vicki enjoyed various hobbies, including sewing, horseback riding, cross-stitching, going to her grandkids school and sporting events and being involved in the Boy Scouts of America and the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Vicki and her late, ex-husband Charles Rector also loved volunteering time to their community of Fruitland Park each Christmas as Santa and Mrs. Claus for several years. She also dedicated her time to the Leesburg High School class reunion committee, cherishing the memories and connections made with her friends during her school years. Vicki's faith was an integral part of her life, and she found solace and community at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Vicki will be deeply missed by her loving family. She is survived by her two brothers, Ralph "Bubba" Pratt and Phillip "Jimbo" Pratt; her son, Travis Rector, and daughter-in-law, Cindy McDevitt; her granddaughter, Madison Bailey, and grandson-in-law, Ryan Bailey; her great-grandson, Ben Bailey; her grandson, Jac Perez; her granddaughter-in-law, Brittany O'Donnell; her granddaughter, Tiffany Edwards, and grandson-in-law, Bruce Edwards; her son, Clay Rector, and daughter-in-law, Annie Rector; her grandson, Wyatt Rector, and granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Rector; her great-granddaughter, Adelina Rector; her grandson, Waylon Rector; her grandsons, William Rector and Wade Rector; her daughter, Leslie Rector; her grandson, Austin Walker, and granddaughter-in-law, Angel Walker; her great-granddaughter, Baylee Walker; her great-grandsons, Austin Walker Jr. and Clayton Walker; her grandson, Christopher Ciseros and her grandson-in-law, Toby Ciseros; her grandson Christian Williams; her granddaughter, Mia Williams, and great-grandson, Christian Williams Jr. Vicki Pratt Rector's kindness, compassion, love for her community and dedication to her loved ones and her community will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will continue to inspire those who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg with Pastor Gary Blanchard officiating.
