Theresa Cecile Boisvert

Theresa Cecile Boisvert, 96, of Lady Lake, Fl., passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1928, in East Angus, Providence of Quebec, Canada. Theresa answered a spiritual calling early in life and became one of the Soeurs de la Sainte-Famille (Sisters of the Holy Family) in Sherbrooke, where she devoted many years of service to her faith. Even after leaving the convent, her life continued to reflect her deep commitment to God and the Church. In addition to her service within the Church, Theresa worked for many years in a doctor’s office, where she was valued for her care, diligence, and compassion. She later continued her work by serving the doctor’s family in their home, forming bonds of trust and friendship that lasted a lifetime. After moving to Florida, Theresa became a longtime and faithful member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Fl., where she worshipped and served for more than 30 years. She was known for her gentle spirit, her devotion to prayer, and the quiet ways she offered kindness to others. Theresa also cherished her family. Living next door to her sister and brother-in-law for many years, she enjoyed countless hours of companionship, often playing bingo and cards. In her later years, she was lovingly cared for by her devoted niece, Rejeanne Porter of The Villages, Florida, who was a constant presence in her life. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews in Canada, all of whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings, being the last of her generation. She will be remembered for her grace, her devotion, and her unwavering faith, which left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Fl. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Fl. at 8:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, Fl. “Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”
