Obituary of Terry Fowkes Terry Wilmot Fowkes Terry Wilmot Fowkes, 66, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away Dec 19, 2009, at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL, after a 6 year battle with prostate cancer. Terry was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Elyria, OH to Harry and Elsie (Wilmot) Fowkes. Terry was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College in 1971, with a Bachelors degree in Education. He retired in February 2004. after 20 years in the accounting department at the Defense Finance & Accounting Service in Cleveland Ohio. Terry loved baseball (especially the Cleveland Indians), kayaking, driving his Miata, traveling the eastern U.S., and riding his trail horse 'Skeeter', as well as reading about the Wild West and World War II - 506th Regiment. Terry was a member of the American Quarter Horse, Arabian Horse, and Dixie Reined Cow Horse Associations. Terry was a past president of the Northeastern Ohio Arabian Horse Association. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Judith A(Tulley); sons, Theodore (Meredith Renna) of Woodville, OH and Andrew (Michelle) of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Elliot, Aaron and Christopher; brother Jeffrey (Karen) of Lorain, OH; and step-sister Gayle (Randall) Hassinger of Punta Gorda, FL. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Hilltop Farm, 37527 Leggett Lane, Lady Lake, FL. and in Ohio at a time and place to be determined.
