Stanley Jimmy Cobb

Stanley Jimmy (Jim) Cobb, 78 years old, of Lake Panasoffkee, went onto heaven with his family holding his hand on December 12th, 2018. Jim was born on February 21st, 1940, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Stanley Jimmy and Sybil (Mallett) Cobb. Jim went on in his teenage years to be raised by his paternal Aunt, Grace Chapman and her husband Bill Chapman on a Farm outside of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Jim always loved farm life because of these years. Jim went on to graduate from Mississippi State University in 1964, with his Bachelors in Business degree. Jim maintained the Dean's list all four years and was voted the Most Friendliest in his graduating class. On September, 4th, 1970, Jim married the Love of His Life, Cynthia (Ann) Stone. Together they had two daughters. Jim is survived by his very loving, dedicated wife of 48 plus years, Ann; Tammy, daughter who idolized him and followed is his footsteps, Shannon, caring daughter who shared his curiosity for life and followed in his footsteps in Karate earning her Brownbelt with three black stripes she placed second place in the Nationals competition in 1993; Jim passed on his love for life and learning to his grandchildren; Jake, Ashley, Jade, Luke and Ian. Jim also is very endeared by his niece Cindy Brady Rogers. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Jim are invited to PURCELL Chapel, 114 West Noble Avenue, Bushnell, Florida, 33513, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Friday, December 21st, 2018, to Celebrate Jim's Life, reminisce, grieve and support each other. Everyone will always remember Jim's beautiful strong voice and his love for performing especially Elvis songs, Sumter Karate School of Shotokan will always keep with them Jim's dedication to Shotokan and his close Sumter School of Shotokan friends. Jim's family will miss his Great Love, His amazing smile that lit up a room and your life, his deep Blue eyes, his friendly personality, his love of a good debate, his love of reading he could own his own library and learning he was always there to review and edit your homework, his family will miss his true interest in them and him being with them to talk to, they will miss his voice. Jim's Family will miss everything about Jim, he was The Greatest Man, Husband, Father and Grandfather there ever was, He was God on Earth.
