Salvatore Infantino

Salvatore Infantino, 91, of Leominster, Fitchburg, Massachusetts and Lady Lake, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Village Veranda in Lady Lake, Florida. Salvatore was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on October 11, 1931, son of the late Charles and Frances (Canzio) Infantino. Sal (or Sam) was predeceased by their first child, Mary and years later by his first wife Lorraine Mary McCoy Infantino in 1978. Salvatore grew up and attended school in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He joined the United States Army where he served in both Korea and Vietnam. He retired as a Warrant Officer after 20 years of service. His last post was at Fort Devens, Massachusetts where Sam and his family settled nearby in Leominster, Massachusetts. He later enjoyed a second career with Digital Equipment Corp. Salvatore was a member of the American Legion Post 347, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Knights of Columbus. Sam was a very caring and generous man, an avid volunteer at several food banks and other organizations especially within his Catholic Parishes at St. Leo’s in Leominster, Massachusetts and St. Timothy’s in Lady Lake, Florida. Sal is survived by 6 of his children, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and current wife Lorraine Cormier Infantino. Sam’s daughters are Robin Berube and partner Mike Frketic of Tarpon Springs, FL; Amber Cleveland and husband Theodore of Summerville, SC; Brenda Infantino of Lowell, MA; Sheila Graham and partner Richard Brown of Athol, MA; Lorraine’s daughter Elaine Ramos of Leominster, MA. Sam’s sons are Michael Infantino and wife Sheryl of Augusta, GA; Scott Infantino and wife Susan of Hudson, NH. Sam’s Grandchildren include Elizabeth Walker, husband Nicholas; Tyler Berube, wife Seraine; Marina Berube, Katherine Berube, Theodore Cleveland II, wife Jess Howard; Nicholas Cleveland, Steven Infantino, Laura Cadena, husband Thomas; Joshua Saltsgaver, wife Sara, Leia Graham, Dylan Graham, Michael Infantino, Joseph Infantino. Great Grandchildren Westin Walker, Emily Walker, Bradley Berube, Bradley Graham, Aviana Saltsgaver, Eliza Saltsgaver, and Adelaide Cleveland. His surviving siblings include Josephine Wood, Maryann LaPointe, Lena Mitola, all of Massachusetts and Carl Infantino of Florida. Sam was also predeceased by his sisters; Grace Shank, Terry LeBlanc, Frances Lory, and brother John Infantino. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, 8:30 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida with inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with Full Military Honors. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Lady Lake, Florida.
