Obituary of Rose Cerrato Rose passed away Saturday evening, March 24th, 2012 at Oakhurst Care & Rehabilitation Center. She concluded her earthly journey peacefully with her children by her side to join her husband Carmen who passed away last month. Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY, March 14th, 1927 to Frank Chiacchiera & Filomena Langella. She married her one and only true love, Carmen John Cerrato. They were childhood sweethearts for 9 years, married for 63 years and recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on February 20th. Sadly, Carmen passed away on February 27th leaving Rose behind as he sat on the heavenly bench "waiting on his woman". Through their faith, God has blessed Rose & Carmen by reuniting them once again. Rose was employed at a local fruit and vegetable market in Hallandale, FL where she looked forward to going to work everyday and "making a difference" in peoples lives. She was loved by everyone and always had a warm hello & big smile. Rose & Carmen owned and operated a small apartment complex "The Keyporter Apartments" in Hollywood, FL that they named after their home town of Keyport, NJ. They relocated to Summerfield, FL nine years ago and were Florida residents for 46 years. Rose was a loving wife and devoted mother to her children. She was like no other, as delicate as a petal on the most beautiful rose and yet a sharp and keen business woman. She was elegant, dainty, tender, loving, generous and caring. She enjoyed entertaining and could cook up a bountiful feast in a heartbeat. When it came to playing cards, she was second to none. She always put others first and tried to live each day as a life celebration showing and sharing her love anytime she could, bringing sunshine into the lives of many. She was a sweetheart and known by her family as the peacemaker. In her Children's eyes, she is the "Best Mother in the world" and will be greatly missed. Her love carries on in their hearts. Rose is survived by her twin children Daniel Cerrato of Ocklawaha, FL & Patricia Marsteller of Morristown, TN, her son-in-law Neal, daughter-in-law Sandra, 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Glen, Escarlin, Shaun, Raymond & Suzanne, and 2 great grandchildren, Justin & Valerie. Rose also leaves behind relatives, friends, and many loving memories. She is predeceased by her sisters Frances, Grace, Angie & Minnie and her brothers Joe & Frank. Visitation and life celebration service will be held Saturday, March 31st, 2:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Lady Lake.
