Obituary of Ronnie Reichert Ronnie Jerry "J.R" Reichert, 65, decided to leave this world with his head held high and his wings outspread to meet our heavenly father on May 26th. The memory of his warmth, kindness, and love for his family and life cannot now, nor will ever be dimmed. He was born in Camilla, GA on November 30th, 1947 to the late Edward and Mamie Ruth Reichert. His family eventually moved to Leesburg, Fla. where Jerry graduated from Leesburg High School in 1966. A few years later he met the love of his life, Susan Sanders and they married on May 3rd, 1975. He worked as a frame man at Century Tel for over 30 years and remained a loving, doting husband and father to 2 children, while Susan remained a devoted stay at home mom. Jerry had a love for history and enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. His hobbies included spending time with his family, drawing, sketching and going to the movies. He is survived by his younger brother, Rick, his loving wife, Susan, his son, Jeremy, his daughter, Janna, and son "in- law, Daniel. He will always be remembered as the man who bent over backwards to help others and believed that God and his family were the two most important things in his life. To his three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ariel, and Micah, he will always be known as "Papa." The family would like to thank Jerry for the wonderful memories: his huge heart, his wonderful smile, his sense of humor, the hugs, the kisses, the joy, and for being the best father and Papa he could ever be. Because of this the family will not mourn his death, but celebrate his life. There will be a "Celebration of Life" service held on Thursday, May 30th at 6pm at Heritage Community Church, Fruitland Park, FL. Celebrate with photos, music and bring your favorite food dish.
