Ronald Moore Sr.

Ronald Moore, Sr., was born December 6, 1945, in Norfolk, VA. He was raised by his Uncle Jim and Aunt Jo Beecham, who raised him in church where his love for the Lord grew. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Moore, of 60 years who lives in Brooksville, FL. They would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this coming Valentine’s Day. They met in 1961 and married in 1964. He is also survived by his son, Ronald Moore Jr., of Merrimack, NH and his wife, daughter-in-law, Charlene Moore of Merrimack, NH. His son, James Moore, of Tampa, FL. His grandsons, Joshua Moore, with wife, Lacy Moore, of Weatherford, TX, and Caleb Moore with wife, Laura Moore, of Manchester, NH, and their son, Wyatt Moore, Ron’s great grandson. He would have met his great granddaughter, Eleanora of Weatherford, TX, in 4 weeks and his great grandson, Samuel, of Manchester, NH, in 3 months. Finally, he is survived by many brothers, sisters, brother-in-law’s and sisters-in-law’s, nieces and nephews. He loved every one of you. Ron started his young family life in Virginia Beach, VA, as a police officer. But quickly realized his call to pastoral ministry. From his first pastorship at Appomattox, VA, he then moved to Tampa, FL, to assist Pastor Harold Stoneman as associate pastor. From there ministry took him to Leesburg, FL, Apalachicola, FL, and finally Oklahoma City, OK, for the next several years. He then took his young family on the road as a traveling evangelist called Wings of Faith through the 1970s. From the 1970s to the early 1980s, Ron planted several churches. It was then that God did a shift in his life leading him to Midland, TX, as a salesman and subsequent manager of Quad K radio station, a small Christian Radio Station and turned it into a formidable radio station of West Texas. Many ministries and artists found their start in that region that continue today to be famous in the Christian industry. It was an exciting time in his life. He would go on to be a part of CBN, a Christian network, where he took a position at the Freedom Council with Pat Robertson. That was the start of one of the first Christian organizations created to influence our government with biblical values. He and his wife, Joyce, were able to work in DC on several occasions and throughout the country assisting in getting Christians out to vote. At the end of that season, God had laid on his heart, to take a pastoral role in Lake City, FL, and Tampa, FL. He and his wife Joyce have pastored New Covenant Worship Center in Ocala, FL, for a number of years now and served in numerous roles in the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Florida's Sonshine Network Ministries. Most recently as regional pastor of the west coast. In 1991 he formed Ron Moore Ministries Inc, which has since then ministered in numerous churches across the spectrum from independent to IPHC, his lifelong Church family. That ministry focused on breathing fresh fire of revival into churches as well as giving personal prophetic words to thousands over the years. Many of you here have been recipients of some of those words over the years. Ron never retired from ministry but instead chose to remain active to the time of his entering eternity. Even absent from this earth his ministry continues through his legacy. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748 with services beginning at 12:00 PM.
