Obituary of Ronald DeLuca Ronald A. DeLuca, 80, of The Villages, FL died Monday, November 1, 2010, following a long and valiant battle with leukemia. Mr. DeLuca was born in the Bronx, New York and moved to The Villages in 2000 from Wappinger's Falls, NY via Barefoot Bay, FL. He was the owner & operator of Dee Vee Manufacturing Company in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a veteran of The New York National Guard; he was active in the Little League & Senior League Baseball in Wappinger's Falls, NY. Member of the Vestry of the Zion Episcopal Church in Wappinger's Falls, NY & St. George Episcopal Church, The Villages, FL. where he was a current member and communicant. Mr. DeLuca was a member of the A.S.A. (American Softball Assn.) & an A.S.A. Umpire. He was very active in Senior League Softball in Barefoot Bay & The Villages, FL. He was an avid New York Yankee & Giants Fan. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include, wife, Joan "The Love of His Life" of 58 years, The Villages, Fl., Sons: Ronald , Jr. (Deborah), Heuvelton, NY, Bob (Janice) Wappinger's Falls, NY, & Richard of Hopewell Junction, NY, Daughter-in-Law: Marcia DeLuca, Berkeley, IL, 7 Grandchildren: Dominic, Jacqueline, Danielle, Michael, Joey, Thomas S. and Anthony, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Marietta (Camiola) DeLuca and a son Thomas DeLuca. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 6, 2010, at St. George Episcopal Church, The Villages, FL with Father Hugh Bromiley officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake/The Villages Chapel. A Memorial service with inurnment will be scheduled in Wappinger's Falls, NY at a later date.
