Obituary of Rochelle Montgomery It is with profound sadness that we announce today that Rochelle Blumm Montgomery, born September 10, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware, after a brief hospitalization for an acute respiratory illness, has passed on from us on May 2, 2016 and leaves those who loved her dearly deeply mourning the loss. Rochelle is survived by and will always be remembered as a devoted, loving wife to her beloved partner of 38 years Donald Page Montgomery , and as a devoted, loving, proud Mother to her only child, son, Tyran (Ty) Green, who currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. Both her husband and son, although in immense grief, were given the honor of being right by her side with her as she passed, just as she would have wanted. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Rochelle knew of her kindness, her genuine sweet, kind nature and her love of family and many friendships formed through her life that she held dear. Her infectious laugh, smile, and thoughtfulness touched many lives while here. She will be missed by so many dearly. She had a lifelong passion for animals, especially rescuing many dogs throughout her life, it brought her immense pleasure to take care of them and provide a home and love. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing the country and keeping in touch with her many friends. She previously worked as a police officer for Dover, Delaware. She also served as a State Trooper for the state of Delaware. She was an avid patriotic supporter and loved her country dearly, she was especially proud that her son Ty followed her husbands path and served in the United States Air Force dutifully. Always thinking of others happiness, and being a person of positivity, she wouldn't want others mourning her passing, only, she would prefer they celebrate her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Francis Blumm and Adeline Stafford. She is also survived, remembered dearly, and deeply missed by her brother Anthony Blumm, sister Mary Ellen Hutchison and their families including numerous nieces and nephews. Rochelle will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure and great fortune of knowing and loving her throughout her life.
