Obituary of Robert Wiest ROBERT F. WIEST, 87, of Lady Lake, Florida, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania worked & retired from GTE and moved to Lady Lake in 1998 from Erie, PA. He was a Catholic by faith, a US Navy Veteran of WWII, member of Lady Lake American Legion Post #347, Harbor Hills Country Club, The Hole-in-One Club, member and past President of IBEW Union Local #1637 in Erie, PA. He enjoyed playing golf, wood carving, gardening, crossword puzzles, fishing, watching Jeopardy and spending quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by: Wife; Sue Wiest of Lady Lake, FL Daughters; Terri (Tom) Ward of Pittsburgh, PA Maureen Wiest of Erie, PA Tammy (Bob) Sutton of Cleveland, OH Melanie (Louis) Savor of Ringgold, GA Sons; Bernard (Linda) Wiest of Erie, PA Russell (Sandy) Wiest of McKean, PA Kurt (Betsy) Guttshall of Birmingham, AL Brother; Tom (Arline) Wiest of Erie, PA Thirteen Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren Predeceased by: his Parents, 1 Grandson, 7 Brothers, and 3 Sisters Services will be held at Beyers Funeral Chapel, Lady Lake, Fl. on Monday, March 7 at 10.30 AM. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Private Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors conducted by the Lady Lake American Legion Post # 347 Honor Guard. The family requests donations in Mr. Wiest's memory to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, 3319 Maguire Blvd., Orlando, FL 32803.
